Education and continuous capacity development are fundamental to empowering individuals, strengthening communities, and promoting sustainable development. In Somalia, many marginalized groups—including women, girls, youth, internally displaced persons (IDPs), minority communities, and persons with disabilities—continue to face significant barriers to accessing quality education, vocational training, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
MCARE is committed to expanding access to inclusive education and strengthening the knowledge, skills, and capacities of marginalized communities to enable them to participate fully in social and economic development. Through literacy initiatives, vocational and technical skills training, leadership development, digital literacy, institutional capacity strengthening, and community awareness programs, we equip individuals and local institutions with the tools they need to become resilient, self-reliant, and effective agents of change.
By working closely with government institutions, educational partners, civil society organizations, and local communities, MCARE promotes lifelong learning, innovation, and inclusive participation. Our education and capacity-building interventions foster leadership, improve livelihoods, strengthen local systems, and create sustainable opportunities that contribute to resilient communities and inclusive development across Somalia.
