Access to decent employment is a critical pathway to economic empowerment, social inclusion, and sustainable development. In Somalia, many young people, women, internally displaced persons (IDPs), minority communities, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups face significant barriers to entering and remaining in the labor market due to limited skills, inadequate work experience, weak market linkages, and restricted access to employment opportunities.
MCARE is committed to bridging the gap between job seekers and employers by creating pathways to meaningful and sustainable employment. We support workforce readiness through career guidance, employability skills training, vocational development, internships, apprenticeships, job placement services, and partnerships with public and private sector employers. Our interventions also strengthen market linkages to ensure that training and employment opportunities are aligned with labor market demands.
By collaborating with government institutions, private sector partners, educational institutions, and development organizations, MCARE promotes inclusive employment systems that expand opportunities for marginalized populations. Through these efforts, we empower individuals to secure decent work, improve their livelihoods, and contribute to resilient households, thriving local economies, and inclusive national development.
